Latvia's real estate market has fully recovered since the 2009 crisis. The real estate market demonstrates a steady growth as far as the number of transactions is concerned.  The demand for real estate has increased, too. New construction projects have been launched in both residential and commercial sectors.  Real estate prices are moderate, with a positive tendency to grow.

The growth of transactions among non-residents has been accelerated by the positive policy of the Latvian government regarding the issue of residence permits in relation to the purchase of real estate in Latvia, which enables many residents of non-EU countries to obtain EU residence permits and freely travel within the Schengen Area.
